1: What does AltruWorld Mean?

AltruWorld  (pronounced al-true-world) means altruistic world, where good* is recognised, understood and rewarded; diversity is understood and celebrated; we are all encouraged to support and achieve our true potential, whether we know it or not; constructive feedback, encouragement and sharing is the norm; we all have a far better chance of success

2: Which Development Phase are we in?

Our development phases are:

  • Phase 1 - Gathering of the Good (Registration Phase) <<< WE ARE HERE <<<

    • Where people who share our values are choosing and inviting their best contacts and friends to join.

    • Unlike many web directories, we did not buy lists of people’s contact details in order to appear larger from day one, because we only want the best. Everyone who is joining AltruWorld is choosing to join because they share our values and believe there is a better and more altruistic way of doing business.

  • Phase 2 - Customers detailed enquiries, Suppliers’ replies and Suppliers’ acceptance Phase.

    • Try before you buy.

    • Phase 2 will operate FREE of charge for a limited period so that you can fully appreciate the benefits at first hand. 

  • Phase 3 – Payment Phase.

    • Purchase (Top Up) Credits for spending on Customer Detailed Enquiries and Supplier Replies.

  • Phases 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 . . .

    • We could tell you about these now, as they are so good, but that would spoil the surprise.

3: What happens to my Personal Information?

Basically you remain anonymous to other members when searching and receiving enquiries, it’s only when you decided to provide personal information that information is passed to the other person(s). You remain in control. See Privacy Policy for further information. When searching only your generic profile information is passed to potential Suppliers.

4: Why do Suppliers have to pay to use AltruWorld?

We charge an altruistic price to connect you with the people you want to contact. This charge for our service is our only income. We do not charge for membership, we do not charge a percentage of what Suppliers earn and we do not charge for how many enquiries Suppliers receive. Suppliers simply pay to post replies to a potential Customers.
 

5: When will AltruWorld be Complete?

The initial phases will soon be fully functional so you can make enquiries and replies, with your help spreading the AltruWorld word. So while you are joining and recommending your best contacts to join, we are doing lots of testing and planning before we launch the next phase.  AltruWorld  is the first of its kind, we have learnt a lot so far and we hope to continue to learn together.  We are always looking for ways to improve the system so AltruWorld  will be a never ending story.  Our plans are big, and the best is yet to come, so do share your suggestions so that we can make AltruWorld a better place.

6: What is our Business Model?

A strong theme in our business model is altruism and supporting charities. By being altruistic we aim to be as affordable possible, so levelling the business playing field for large, small and start-up businesses. We help Suppliers support their favourite charities. No one pays us to favourably promote their business. We just connect and match Customers’ needs to Suppliers and charge an altruistic price for doing so.

7: Why do you have to give Feedback?

Simple constructive feedback is an ideal way for Members to recognise what is good and where they may need to focus.  It provides third party endorsement as to what people are really like, therefore helping Customers find good Suppliers and Suppliers find good Customers.

8: That if your Region/Sub-Region Is not listed on AltruWorld

You just have to contact us at via Contact Us with the name(s) of your Country’s Region(s) and Sub-region(s) and we will consider them for inclusion
